Abel is a tall 2 year old boxer mix, with long soft ears. He has gotten along well with both of our other foster dogs and with a friend’s dog who we dog-sat over Thanksgiving weekend. However, he has started to bark at other dogs that we encounter on our daily walks. Other than that, he has pretty good leash manners, often walking with slack in the leash. He does stop to watch the squirrels and sometimes tries to climb up after them.
Abel loves and wants to meet every human that he encounters. He cuddles on the couch with us, lays his head in our lap, and has us pet him all over. Sometimes he rolls over and raises both of his front paws sky-high to request a belly rub.
Abel is crate trained and goes into his crate on command practically every night. Abel is housebroken, but has had about three urinary accidents while we’ve been learning his tells to go outside. Adoption fees are $225 for dogs over 6 months and $250 for dogs 6 months and younger. This fee includes spay/neuter, rabies shot if dog is over 4 months old, parvo/distemper shots up to the time of adoption, fecal check, microchip, and all dogs are heartworm negative.

The dogs/puppies in our organization have been rescued from high-kill animal shelters located in Illinois and Indiana.
