My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meredith is a cute one-year old female (possible) Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix who was found on State Route 555 in the Cutler Ohio area and brought to the HSOV on November 17, 2024. Meredith was accompanied by her good-looking companion (Derek). Neither of these youngsters were wearing a collar nor were they microchipped. Meredith and Derek had distinctive indentations on the fur around their necks which would suggest that they had been wearing collars .. So perhaps both of them slipped their collars and went on an adventure~

Meredith has a black short smooth coat with a white streak on her chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose on her slender muzzle, and large semi-erect ears .

This young lady had a friendly, rather demure, personality when HSOV Volunteers Carolyn Blanchard and Emma Dahlgren teamed up to take Meredith and Derek for a simultaneous photo session late in the afternoon on November 17, 2024. Meredith kept a watchful eye and didn't want to be very far from Derek.

Meredith weighs 34 lbs. She doesn't appear to have had any walking-on-a-leash experience but made a noble effort with Carolyn by her side.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Meredith will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.

Update: Meredith went home with a foster family on December 15, 2024 who plans to adopt her after she is spayed.
