My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Oliver James is an incredibly sweet and gentle boy who has hypothyroidism and is struggling in the shelter environment. He would love to find a loving foster or adoptive home where he can continue to get the care he needs.

Oliver came to the shelter as a stray and very quickly became a favorite of staff and volunteers. Here’s what some of them have said:

“Oliver James is very easy to leash and walks very well. He is very attentive to his handler and loves treats. On our walk he enjoyed sniffing and would gently pull me to check out a new smell. Overall, a very sweet and loving pup.”

“Oliver James enjoys his naps, but he also appreciates being out in the fresh air and taking leisurely strolls.”

Oliver James has shared his kennel politely and has been independent and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Please ask about him today!

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Mon - Tues: 12-7pm Wed - 1:30-7pm Thurs - Fri: 12-7pm Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm Must be checked in 45 minutes before close

2.
Meet the Pet

Once you have decided which pets you are interested in, sign in for an adoption counselor who will guide you through the adoption process.

3.
Take the Pet Home

Cats must leave in a carrier and dogs must leave in a carrier or on leash. We do have these available for purchase in our lobby store.

Additional adoption info

Year-Round Adoption Fees:
• Puppies and kittens less than 4 months old $50
• Adult dogs and cats $30
• A standard $20 dog license fee may apply
• Pets who have been waiting for more than 2 weeks for a family and pets over 5 years old $0 - Fee Waived!

Every adoption includes:
• Spay or neuter surgery
• First Vaccinations
• Microchip
• Vet visit certificate
• Pet insurance
