Elderberry is ready to fill your life with laughter, love, fun and companionship. This 3-month-old cutie will greet you with the best tail-wagging wiggle butt and all the kisses you can want. With his short, velvet-soft fur he gets cold quickly and is always looking for some body heat to be next to. We are still working on potty training, and he does great with frequent trip outside and has yet to have an accident overnight. Elderberry enjoys the company of other dogs and would probably be happiest with another pup to play with and snuggle up to at bedtime. This pup’s passion seems to be food, whether mealtime or treats for being a good boy- this guy is ready to sit on command for a chance at a tasty snack making him an easy pup to train.
Currently just over 25lb we estimate his will be a medium to large sized dog around 60-70lbs, but shorter and stouter shaped. Bottom line, he is an awesome puppy and with proper boundaries and some basic training he will be a wonderful adult companion for any family ready to put in the time. If you are ready to meet this fun puppy please apply to Hero Dog Rescue.
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
