My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Otto!

I’m a laid-back and affectionate guy who loves to hang out at home for a good nap or snuggle on the couch. If you’re looking for a dog who’s content to relax with you, I’m your guy! I’m also housebroken, so you don’t have to worry about any accidents—I`m a very polite pup in that regard.

I enjoy going for walks, though I’m more of a medium/low-energy type, so a nice walk usually tires me out. I might pull a bit on the leash, but I’m mostly just excited to get outside and see what’s going on. During the week I was with my foster, it snowed, so we didn’t get to go on any long hikes, but I really do like being outside and taking in the fresh air. I also love car rides—whether it`s to a park or just around town, I`m happy to go for a spin!

While I’m a little shy at first when meeting new people, I warm up pretty quickly. When I do, I get all wiggly and happy, with my tail wagging non-stop. I love getting pets, and belly rubs are my absolute favorite! I get along well with people, and I’m gentle with my leash manners, but I can still be a little shy when I meet strangers. I’ve never met any kids or cats, and I haven’t spent time with other dogs during my adventure, but I’m friendly and eager to get to know anyone who’s kind to me.

I’m pretty independent, and while I do enjoy companionship, I’m also fine being left out when my foster had to go somewhere. I’ve spent some time in a crate when my foster was working, but I’m not sure if I’m crate-trained—sometimes I just liked to curl up in there for a little quiet time.

If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing dog who will be your loyal companion, I’d love to meet you!
