Meet Clover Your Lucky Charm!
Clover is a charming 6-8 year old, 14-lb Yorkshire Terrier mix who hails from the NY ACC. His foster family affectionately calls him Nohi (Nowie), a nickname he earned when his spirit blossomed upon arriving in NoHo. He responds warmly to both names!
A True City Pup in the Making
Clover is adjusting wonderfully to life in Manhattan, showing his adaptable and adventurous spirit. He loves cuddling, playing with squeaky toys, savoring snacks, and accompanying his foster parents on daily adventures. Clover has a special knack for greeting delivery drivers with a wagging tail and a friendly howl, making everyone's day a little brighter.
Eager to Learn and Please
Clover is a smart, eager learner who thrives on pleasing his humans. He’s currently mastering “sit” and working on other commands. His potty training is progressing well, though he benefits from a consistent routine and a little patience.
A Gentle Soul with Special Needs
Being visually impaired, Clover is a bit sensitive to quick movements and needs a family that will patiently help him navigate his surroundings. Once he feels secure, Clover is affectionate, enjoys grooming, and loves to be held. He’s a brave little guy who appreciates gentle introductions to new friends and environments.
Loving Walks and Leisure
Clover has grown comfortable on the leash and enjoys his daily walks, especially when there are treats involved! He thrives on a mix of moderate activity and quiet downtime, making him the perfect companion for both leisurely TV binges and longer strolls.
Great with Kids and Other Pets
Clover would thrive in a home with older children who can respect his visual impairment. He’s indifferent to other dogs but does well after slow introductions. He can happily coexist with older, calm dogs or be the center of attention as the only pet.
Not a Fan of Crates
While Clover doesn’t enjoy being crated, he’s perfectly content in a gated area and has free roam of his foster home without any destructive behavior.
Your Lucky Day
Clover is truly a four-leaf clover, bringing joy and luck to those around him. He’s ready to find his forever family who will cherish his unique spirit and give him the loving home he deserves.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Clover is scheduled for neuter on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Should he be adopted before then, his adopters will be responsible for bringing him to and from this appointment. Waggytail Rescue will cover the cost of this neuter appointment but any other vet appointments will be the adopters responsibility.
To apply for Clover, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal.
