Wally, a 9-year-old, 11-pound male peke/shih tzu mix, is pure perfection. He has adjusted well to city life after leaving the Queens ACC. He was picked up wandering the Rockaways after being spotted by a few good samaritans. He loves all things - four legged or two - and just wants to shower them with affection. He is a smart little boy and aims to please. He has quickly learned his name and gets so excited when you tell him he’s a good boy! He is learning “sit” but responds to “come” and “eh eh”. His toe tap happy dance would make any dance mom proud. He enjoys cuddles and really loves a belly rub. He will chase after a stuffy but doesn’t really fetch or play. He does great on a leash and appears to be house trained. He does mark a bit indoors but he was just neutered so this will hopefully lessen as his hormones level out.
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Heartworm negative and microchipped. Received neuter and dental on 1/10. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
To apply, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available.
Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue.
