Meet Jojo! He is a 10 month old neutered male American pitbull mix that weighs 40lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/27 as a stray. Since he has been at the shelter, the noise has made him uncomfortable. You can see in his eyes he is unsure of what may happen to him. Some pups need more decompression time than others to allow them to gain trust and to feel secure in their surroundings. Jojo was briefly adopted, and tho this was discussed with them, they assumed after a few days he would come out of his shell. When that did not happen, they returned him to the shelter, leaving Jojo very sad. He has so much potential, and with the right loving family he will be the best loving companion. The more time I spend with him, the more confidence and trust he is showing. He is walking better on a leash, and really enjoys having his face rubbed and given kisses on his head. He loves treats and takes them very gently. As we walked past other dogs he did not show any negativity to them, yet we always ask if there is another dog in the home, to please ask the shelter for a dog test. Can you open your home and heart to precious Jojo?
