Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Vanna is a 9-year-old, 15 lb. Chihuahua in need of a new home due to her owner's death. She was very well-loved and well-taken care of. She is used to being with her owner most of the time and spent her first week at the shelter snoozing in her cozy bed in our lobby so she could be near people. She will bark when left alone, so she would not be a good fit as an apartment dog.
She likes to go for short walks but isn't an outdoorsy go-for-a-hike type of girl. We don't think she has spent much time around young kids and seems to enjoy a quiet environment. Once she meets you, she will greet you like an old friend and run right to you for attention. She likes other dogs and took to the small dog in her foster home immediately. She has also been gentle and curious when she met much larger dogs. She lived with a cat. She loves to snuggle and climbs right into your lap. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vet care.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our adoption fee for dogs ages 7 months to 7 years is $450. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
