Dotty has good house manners and will let you know when she needs to go out. There may be an accident if no one notices her. She would probably do great with a dog door! Dotty is great with other dogs, cats and even lets an 18-month-old toddler crawl all over her!
Like many beagles, Dotty has 2 speeds playful and snuggly! Once she has burned off energy with play, Dotty loves having her humans near and will follow you from room to room. She just wants to give all her love to someone and be their shadow. Dotty would do best in a home where people are around most of the time because of her need for human contact and her hatred of kennels!
Dotty has such a loving soul and loves to spend her day in bed! She is often found curled up under the sheets, laundry basket, or a corner of a quiet closet. She is an escape artist and loves quick jogs down street 😂 Wants a little best friend that sneak her human food and give random kisses. Apply today to give this sweet girl a home of her own!

Approve Application
Go to our website www.HoustonBeagleRescue.org and click on the link "About Adoption." After receiving your application, we will contact you.

Home Check
Once your application is approved, a volunteer will bring the beagle to your home to meet your family and pets, and approve the adoption..

Meet the Pet
You are invited to attend our monthly meet and greets without completing an application, but no adoption can take place before applying.

The first step in our adoption process is for interested parties to complete the on-line adoption application found on our website. We require an adoption fee ($300 for purebred beagles and coon hounds; $250 for mixes; $200 for special needs or seniors 8 years +; and $350 for pups age 8 mo. or younger) and an adoption contract. ALL dogs will be vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption!
