My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Babe!

Babe entered San Diego Humane Society-Oceanside as a stray with a very dirty coat and long, overgrown nails. She cleaned up nicely and is so cute!

When Babe wasn't claimed, we scooped her on December 6th to become a Frosted Face. She is estimated to be about 13 years old and weighs 10 lbs. Babe is a super sweet girl!

Babe has some hind leg weakness and curves her body to walk. Our veterinary team believe she experienced a trauma - probably hit by a car - but X-rays don't show any past or current fractures. Babe isn't bothered one bit by how she walks - it gets her where she wants to go!

Babe went on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we learned all about what she is in a home. (Hint: she is a very good girl!)

Her Fling Mom reports:

"Babe is a sweet, mellow girl and loves to nap. When we were outside, she'd spend time either exploring the yard or up on the porch in a dog bed.

Babe is good with all ages. My grandsons were loud and excited on Christmas day, and Babe simply ignored all the chaos. She enjoyed pets from everyone, but when she was done, she had a particular dog bed she preferred, and would retreat there to nap.

Babe liked laying near my mom and her walker, so that may have been something she did in her past.

Babe loves to eat. At mealtime, I would feed her off to the side slightly away from my pack as she preferred not to have anyone hovering by her as she ate. Babe used potty pads if she didn't have access to outside.

Babe is very mellow, doesn't bark, and has no separation anxiety. She is hoping for a forever home to start off the new year!"

Sweet and cuddly Babe is back on-site and ready to meet her forever family. Drop by between 10 AM and 3 PM any day of the week to meet her!
