Earnestine, “Earnie,” is a petite black and white cat with black mask and mantle markings. She was the smallest of her litter and remains small in size for her age. However, she makes up for her size with a gregarious nature and vivacious attitude. When playing among her siblings chasing the cat wand toy she puts her full force into her efforts, normally beating her siblings to the toy. When waking up from a nap she is the first to start playing with a toy mouse or the spinning toy and gets her siblings involved. She bounds into new or changed environments and shows her siblings that it’s safe and fun and that they don’t need to be nervous. During her down time she loves to get close to her foster parents and show affection. She gives sweet kisses, loves to cuddle up, and has an adorable raspy purr. She has been curious and approached the older cats in our home. She is somewhat avoidant of the younger fosters that are newer to our family, however seems to be getting used to them. Earnestine would love to find a home for herself along with her brother Dorian if possible! They have had no contact with kids or dogs.

Earnestine is one of a litter of three that were abandoned by their feral birth mother and found themselves on their own around our house. After finding one of her siblings a few evenings prior, her foster family was able to catch Earnie in a humane trap on October 13th, 2024. She warmed up to her foster family quickly and has been a loving and playful girl ever since. Her foster family can’t take care over long term due to our already having plenty of cats in the household.
