My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy the Elf from the goofy classic Christmas movie, “Elf,” enjoyed the four major food groups of candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup. He LOVED sugar and included some in every meal. Our little sweetie Elf doesn`t so much eat sugar as he exudes it with his super sweet and friendly personality!

Sugar aside, Elf sure does love his treats! Shelter staff and volunteer friends shared that he is very treat motivated, which is a great positive training tool!

A volunteer friend shared, “Elf is very sweet and friendly! I entered his kennel and he showed me four feet on the floor for a treat. We had a very nice walk together; he noticed other dogs, but didn’t pull towards them or bark. He was focused on walking and checking in with me for treats and pets. He’s a great, sweet boy!”

When meeting other dogs in playgroup Elf has been independent overall, finding a sunny spot to relax in. He’d like to meet any future furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit.

We believe that once Elf meets you, he will echo Buddy the Elf’s refrain, `I`m in love, I`m in love, and I don`t care who knows it!” We think you’ll feel the same!
