Meet Montana – The Sweet, Smart, and Spirited Pup Looking for His Forever Home!

Montana is a 6-month-old Husky mix with a hint of Shepherd, a whole lot of charm, and a personality as bright as his striking good looks! Originally rescued from South Carolina along with his siblings, this adorable pup is now thriving in his New York foster home, eagerly waiting for the perfect family to call his own.

Montana is a typical puppy with an abundance of energy and curiosity, making him a lively and entertaining companion. He adores running, playing with toys, and exploring, and he’s great with other dogs. Montana doesn’t mind cats either—though he may try to play with them like he would with a fellow dog. With proper guidance, he’d fit right into a home with feline friends.

Here’s what makes Montana extra special:

  • Sweet as Pie: Montana’s foster mom can’t say enough about his loving nature. He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and thrives on affection from people of all ages, including kids.

  • Smart and Eager to Learn: This bright boy is extremely food-motivated, making him a joy to train. He’s already learning the ropes of going potty outside, though he’ll need patience and consistency to fully master this skill.

  • Sharing is Caring: Montana is as easygoing as they come—he’s fine with hands in his food bowl, doesn’t guard his toys or chews, and is naturally submissive, making him a fantastic addition to a multi-pet household.

  • Adventurous Spirit: He’s nimble, agile, and curious—whether it’s exploring his surroundings or occasionally showing off his climbing skills. (Kitchen counters, watch out!)

Life with Montana
He is still learning how to channel his puppy energy. He does well with plenty of toys, chews, and playtime to keep him entertained and out of mischief. He thrives when he can be with someone who can provide lots of companionship or who can help him to feel secure when left alone.

This lovable boy has everything it takes to be a loyal, fun, and cuddly member of your family. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Montana—and maybe even enjoy a few puppy shenanigans along the way—apply to adopt him today. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love into your life!

IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled.
