Hi! My name is Rufus! I am a handsome 7 year old brindle boy that is short and stocky in stature but big in heart! Not much is known about my history but it is suspected I was abused and that is now in my past! I am medium energy and when I am not playing with the other dogs you can find me laying on the kitchen rug at the human's feet. I can sometimes be shy and will flinch alot from my past traumas. I love to lounge, go for car rides, go on walks, sleep in the sun, play with and chase squeaky balls, lay on human laps, and be with the humans! I am house trained, crate trained, doggy door trained, share well, obedient, and want to please! I do get stingy with my food so feeding me separately from others is encouraged and necessary. I play well with the other dogs in the home and am great and gentle with kids! I have a raspy, soft, cute bark that I like to use to talk to humans, but not in an annoying way! I follow the humans from place to place and charm them with my cute 'smile'. If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
