A24241 Gemma is a gray and white colored, approximately 5-year-old, 54-pound, spayed female, Pitbull.
She entered the shelter as a stray on 12-11-2024 and was altered by their medical staff.
Gemma is a friendly, energetic, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff says she is very sweet, high energy, but not crazy and she loves to be pet and scratched all over. The say she will get a running start to jump into your lap for love and affection and she loves to give kisses. They say she would be perfect for a family looking for a playful snuggle bug. She was easy to leash but pulls in excitement to be out exploring. her, and she wants to check out. She has had some training and will “sit” upon command. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. Gemma will be a fun-loving, loyal family member in her new forever home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
