Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Vito is a gentle, brown tabby kitty with white on his face and chest, a pink nose, and a permanent wink. Good Samaritans discovered him living in their barn and noticed that he was injured. They finally succeeded in trapping him in the Fall of 2024 and brought him to HART to begin a better chapter in his life. We estimated this battered warrior is about 12 years old. Once in our care, we learned that he is diabetic and had chronic ear infections.
After addressing his medical needs, including having his injured eye surgically removed, Vito has been doing much better and is slowly coming out of his shell. We have been maintaining his blood sugars on a wet food diet of Fancy Feast Classic Pate. Our Medical Team will discuss his medical needs with interested adopters, and Vito's adopters will need to have an established relationship with a veterinarian.
Because Vito is quite shy, our Socialization Team has been working with him to help him to adjust to a life with people. He seems to be great with all of his feline roommates. If you'd like to meet Vito and help him turn over a new leaf, please complete an online adoption application, and come in to meet him in Room 4.
