Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: I think she will be 3 either end of this month or end of February
Weight: between 75-90 lbs
About Shelby:
She is a very happy dog. Loves humans and is very playful.
She loves belly rubs
She is SUPER strong. She really responds to treats when trying to train her to not pull when on a leash and they help to calm her down when trying to play.
She knows sit, lay down, paw, get your ball, and where’s your baby.
When we are eating she lays down under the dining room table
She is very behaved and patient when waiting for her food and she is very gentle when taking treats.
She sleeps all night without needing to get up to pee
She stays at home alone all day while I am at work and doesn’t need crating and she has not had any indoor accidents.
She lets you know when she needs to go outside.
She has a lot of energy and loves to be outside.
She loves to chase squirrels and chipmunks and I think she would do well as a hunting dog (maybe ducks)
She really enjoys hard chew toys, playing fetch, and us being silly and playful with her.
She will do best with a big back yard with a secure fence (she is an escape artist)
She loves to jump up gently and put her front paws on your shoulders to say hello.
I think she would do best with older children
She will do best with no cats. (She can be dog selective)
Shelby is a lovebug and really deserves and loving, patient and active home/family.
Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
