Meet Crystal, a sensitive soul who blossoms into a sweet and silly girl once she feels comfortable. Crystal loves to play with toys and can become very excited during play, so she is looking for an adopter who will help her learn her manners and work on settling down for some quiet time between play sessions. She can be nervous in new situations and will thrive with patient adopters who observe her body language and adjust their training pace to keep her feeling safe and capable of facing new challenges. She is very smart and curious, which should come in handy during training!
Crystal has made many human and dog friends during her time in the shelter, and would do well alone or with another dog in the home. Kids should be comfortable with a strong dog prone to jumping and mouthing, and should be able to participate in training to provide her with some consistency and help her learn what is expected of her.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.
