Here’s our girl with the twinkle in her eye- Amethyst!
Amethyst came to TCR from another rescuer in dire need of placement for her and her 6 “siblings” who were living outside. At the time, the weather was about to get colder and some of the kittens in the group were showing signs of a nasty upper respiratory infection. Most of the kittens were underweight and we feared they wouldn’t make it outside much longer.
Amethyst was one of the scrawniest of the bunch when she came to us. She suffered from a nasty URI and Conjunctivitis that scarred her right eye. We like to call it her twinkley eye! It doesn’t hold her back from being a loving little lady though. This little girl has even been oh-so-sweet through all of her yucky medications. Amethyst has grown up with lots of siblings around and loves to play, chase, and cuddle with them all. She will be one of the first to greet us when we enter the room and loves getting all of the attention! Amethyst is easy to pick up and enjoys lap time pets. She’s easy to please and definitely easy to love! She has a sweet little cat smile, pointy ears, a peachy-colored nose, and a beautiful coat colored with brown, black and orangey-tan. Amethyst would love to be adopted with one of her foster siblings or go to a home with another playful kitty! We think with time she’s adjust to dogs and would do well with children. She’s a little sweetie with a gentle soul who’s looking for a forever family who can spoil her rotten with love!
Amethyst is approximately 8 months old, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, FIV/FELV tested negative, dewormed, flea treated, treated for ear mites/ear infection, treated for a URI/Conjunctivitis, and was seen and cleared by a vet for her eye. If you think this twinkley-eyed girl is a match for you, apply for her today!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
