Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A24436 Rocko is a tan with some white colored, approximately 5-year-old, 75-pound, neutered male, Pitbull.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 12-20-2024 due to the fact he doesn’t have the space for this size dog.
Rocko is a friendly, social, easy to handle boy here at the shelter. Our staff describes him as friendly, with great energy and listens well. He loves people and affection and is super friendly and social. He was easy to leash and was well behaved during our walks, a little pull but listens really well and is correctable. He has had some training and will “sit” upon command. Although you can tell he is uncomfortable in the position and has some hip issues, he still listens and obeys. He shows a friendly interest in other dogs here at the shelter. The previous owner did say he is housebroken and has been around other dogs and kids with no issues. Rocko will be a great, loving family member in his new forever home.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
