Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A24561 Lola is a black, brown and white colored, approximately 10-month-old, 61-pound, spayed female, American Pitbull Terrier mix. She was spayed by our medical team.
She entered the shelter an owner surrender on 12-28-2024 because they stated she was aggressively resource guarding her food and toys. We have not witnessed this same behavior at the shelter.
Lola is a friendly and easy to handle girl here in the shelter. She was eager to leave her kennel, easy to leash but pulls hard on the leash when being walked and will need some leash training. Lola does jump up for love and attention on people when you first approach her but takes correction well. She seemed scared and nervous around the other dogs when walking by them. Due to that fact and her resource guarding that the previous owner mentioned, we would recommend she be the only dog in the home. The previous owner said she is house broken and has lived with other dogs and children, but no cats. Lola is a young dog that needs some training and guidance to be her best self.
