My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carter and his buddy River are at DHS because their owner needed to relocate and was unable to take the boys with him.
Carter is a 1-year-old, smaller German Shepherd. He is spunky and loves to play fetch. He would make an excellent competition, hiking, or active home companion. Carter is house- and crate-trained. He enjoys car rides and jumps right in! Carter is a little nervous meeting new dogs, so slow introductions are important for a good outcome. He has not been introduced to cats or children.
He has some basic manners, but consistency in training will make him a well rounded enjoyable dog!
