Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet handsome Captain! He was surrendered to the shelter on 12/28. Captain's owner left him with a family member and then moved out of the country. Unfortunately, the family member does not have the means to continue caring for Captain, so he's found himself in a loud, overcrowded shelter. He is quite scared in this environment so we're hoping for a new, forever home for this sweet boy. The family member said that Captain is house and crate-trained and is good with kids, cats, and other dogs, so that is great news!! It sounds like Captain will fit into any home. The volunteers describe him as friendly and easy-going. He knows sit and may know more commands. Captain is a big guy and he's a bit strong on a leash, but with some consistent work, he can learn to walk nicely. He has some skin issues, but with proper diet and baths, he should be looking and feeling better in no time! If Captain sounds like the new BFF you've been searching for, please come meet him today!
Captain is approximately 7 years old, and he weighs 80 lbs. He is UTD on vaccines, and he has been neutered and microchipped. He did test negative for heartworms, so that is great news. Captain is waiting patiently in run 808; his ID # is 7195.
Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.
