My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet "the Adorables.” Vick (born 10/24) and Rooney (born 09/24), are the cutest, sweetest, and most gentle kittens you will ever find. Vick and Rooney were both orphans that ended up at the same foster home. They are so cute together and love to play and nap together.

Vick is a grey tuxedo who is a non-stop purr machine. He plays and romps, but is usually very sensible in his actions.

Rooney is an orange tabby with higher energy who has a more devil-may-care approach. They are non-destructive and once their play/romp time ends, usually wind up on a lap for purrs and pets. This bonded pair will fill your heart with joy!

The foster describes these two as fun, well behaved, lovable and handsome. If you want to meet these two, fill out our application. They must be adopted together.

PLEASE READ:
Adoption fee $100 for adult (over 12 months old) and $125 for kitten (under 12 months old). All cats coming into your care will be delivered altered (spayed/neutered), tested for FIV/FELV, microchipped, have received age-appropriate vaccines, treated for fleas and worms. We are not first come, first serve. We try to match our kitties with the purrfect home.
Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are an all-volunteer organization. All our kitties are in foster care. We ask that you be patient with us as we connect you to the foster to set up a meet and greet.
Most of our kittens are placed in bonded pairs. One of the most important ways we can support the behavioral and emotional development of a kitten is to make sure they’ve got a friend. Despite the common belief that cats are solitary animals, they’re actually incredibly social beings who thrive when they have feline friends from an early age. That’s why the cat experts always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. It may come as a surprise to hear this, but two kittens are actually half the work of one! Giving your kitten a buddy will improve the lives of the cats while also making your life easier.
In order to make sure cats under our care go to the safest and most compatible homes we require adoptees to fill out our Rescue’s application and accept a home visit. Please fill out an application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SIL/Cat or email us at silvertonrescue@gmail.com for more information.
