My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Roxie! This sweet little girl is just learning how fun adventuring can be! Roxie is a perfect size, weighing in at 25 lbs, she will likely not be more than 35-40 lbs full grown. She gets along very well with other dogs and cats. She is a happy, playful girl and loves playing fetch in the backyard, and playing with other dogs. After some playtime, you will find her taking a peaceful nap on the couch. She also loves cuddle time on the couch in the evening or any chance she gets! She could be little shy with new people at first, but once she gets to know you, she will shower you with lots of kisses and snuggles! She loves going on a walk and explore, sniffing everything new. She has made huge progress with her crate and house training as well! She is still a puppy and will benefit from continuing training and this smart girl is eager to learn! Don’t miss this opportunity to give her the loving home she deserves!

If you are interested in Roxie, please apply on our website caws.org, Roxie is spayed, vaccinated & chipped, her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationJanuary 25, 2025, 5:16 am

Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
