Hi, I`m Adora! I was found as a stray and never reclaimed. I`m very shy and slow to warm up to people. I don`t like to approach but I do like to keep an eye and see where you are at. I`m looking for someone who will give me the time and patience for me to come out of my shell and blossom. I don`t mind other dogs being around but I`m not interested in playing much. I also don`t mind dog savvy kids but would probably do best with older children since I am timid. I am currently in a foster home so please let staff know if you`d be interested in meeting me!

Adoption Process is an application process that may take as long as 3 to 4 days to process. Requirements for the applications is landlord information, current animal vet records, and 3 references.

All animals are current on shots, spayed/neutered, and microchipped (dogs).

The GCHS is comprised of an estimated 500 members, dedicated shelter staff, volunteers, board of directors, and a growing network of foster homes. Due to the commitment of these people, the GCHS has gone from a 62% kill rate in 1999 to a NO-KILL status. Our mission includes:
. Promoting compassionate and appropriate treatment of animals throughout Green and Lafayette Counties.
. Realizing the need to educate the general public in areas of animals' care, especially the need for spaying and neutering of animals to prevent further overpopulation.
. Diligently assisting law enforcement and the general public in the effort to end animal abuse.
. Devoted to the search for quality homes for every adoptable animal that comes into the shelter.
