My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Joey: The Ideal Barn Buddy! 🐾

Say hello to Joey, a robust grey and white cat who thrives in the great outdoors! Joey has spent his life as a barn cat and knows exactly how to manage himself in that environment. He's the perfect candidate for anyone looking for a feline to help control pests around the barn or rural property. Joey is independent yet appreciative of occasional human interaction, making him an excellent companion for your outdoor spaces.

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
