Hi, I'm Tempo and I am FAST! I love to run and chase and play! I love to make new friends, although sometimes I can be a little over-exuberant sometimes with my greetings but I'm just so happy! I'm looking for a family who can help me learn all kinds of cool tricks and and keep my mind and body active! I think I would excel at agility or another kind of dog sport. I haven't met any other dogs here yet, but I'm open to trying them out! If you have another dog at home I would like to do a meet-and-greet to make sure our play styles match and we can get along well. I haven't met any cats yet, although I may be inclined to chase them because I am a herding dog. Could I be your next best adventure buddy? More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
