My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Petey came to us just before the holidays- he was about to be put down because he was terrified at the shelter and could not be handled. Thankfully a caring vet at the shelter saw that this was just fear. Now in a loving foster home Petey is learning to trust- he bonds quickly with his caregiver, but is intially fearful of new people. Once he is given patience and time, he loves new people. He is excellent with other dogs and cats, house broken, good on a leash, quiet, and can be handled at the vet. This boy needs a quite home ideally with a dog companion to learn to trust from. Please consider welcoming this wonderful boy into your life- with time and understanding we know he will become a trusting, playful companion.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Once the adoption application is received, a home visit will be set up. If that goes well and is approved, then a vet check is completed (if the applicant has recently owned an animal, if not, two professional references will be required). Once both of those are approved, then the adoption fee will need to be paid.
