My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is a beautiful, sweet, spunky little lady. An American Pit Bull Terrier, 1 1/2 years old at 36 lbs, she is a blue & white bundle of joy. Living currently at Wishbone, we don't have a lot of info on Penny's home life, but shelter staff shared how in love with her they are.

Not a mean bone in this little girl's body! Penny is easy going and down for any adventure. She is smart and highly food motivated; she knows how to sit and shake; loves puzzles and enrichment games. She is good at entertaining herself with toys. She loves any kind of stuffy and doesn’t shred them!

What a perfect dog to welcome into your life!

Her minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

Wish Bone Canine Rescue rehabilitates and re-homes dogs. We are a not-for-profit, no-kill organization located in Central Illinois, whose primary focus is to find responsible, loving and permanent homes for the surrendered, abandoned, neglected or abused dogs from within our community. We do not discriminate based on a dog’s breed, age or health . We are a foster home based rescue; however, we also have a facility where dogs are cared for until foster placement or adoption.
