My name is Sky!

Meet Sky – a sweet and gentle soul who is still learning to trust and find her comfort in her new surroundings. Sky is a bit on the nervous side and, while she is still adjusting to her foster family, she’s already showing signs of progress. She’s not shy about sharing tail wags and soft howls when she wants to get your attention, giving us hope that, with patience, she will continue to come out of her shell more and more each day.

Sky’s past may have been difficult, and her fear can sometimes show through in her reactions, particularly during introductions with other dogs. For example, when introduced to our personal dog, she showed hesitation and a clear sense of fear in her body language and bark. It’s heartbreaking to witness, but it’s a reminder that Sky has likely experienced things that have left her uncertain and cautious.

Despite her anxiety, Sky’s potential is undeniable, and we’re hopeful that with time, patience, and love, we’ll be able to help her break down these walls and show her the safety and affection she truly deserves. With continued positive experiences, we are optimistic that Sky will become more confident and comfortable in her new home.

Sky’s journey is ongoing, but she’s already making strides towards the loving companion we know she can be. She’s a special dog with a lot of heart, and she’s looking for someone willing to provide the time, understanding, and gentle support she needs to thrive.
