My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tucker is a 2 month old Chihuahua/maybe some type of terrier mix. We know mom was a long-legged Chihuahua type, but we have no idea about the dad. We think he could weigh as much as 30 lbs when full grown. Foster mom says that Tucker is a sweet, playful little guy who loves to explore, play with the other dogs in his foster home, and play with toys. He's been know to steal a sneaker and drag it by the shoe string into the other room. Funny, but best to keep your shoes out of his reach! Tucker is very cuddly and loves to lay in your lap for nap time. Tucker sleeps through the night in his crate and is making great progress on his potty training. He's a smart little guy, wants to please his people, and is treat motivated. He should be easy to train, and already knows to sit for a treat. He still has sharp little puppy teeth, so we recommend no kids under the age of 6. Please submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

Submit Application

You may complete an application via our website at http://www.humanetomorrow.org/adopt/.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.

Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats

Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs

The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.

Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.

More about this rescue

Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.

We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
