Animal Profile: Rosie is an estimated 2-year-old 70 lb spayed female German Shepherd mix (she's on a bit of a diet and doing great!) who, due to no fault of her own, is looking for a new home. After her owner died, the extended family was unable to take her in. Rosie has been fostered with Gina at Double Down Dog Training and is now available for adoption.
Foster Update: Rosie is a sweet and sensitive girl; she warms up to new people quickly with a little sweet talk and friendly pats. She is crate trained and walks nicely on a leash. She gets along well with other dogs and is good at "reading the room" and taking social cues. She has thus far not paid attention to the cat she lives with and likely would be okay in a home with cats. She can be a bit of a scaredy cat herself, particularly in new situations, and will startle at loud noises. However she's a gentle old soul and recovers quickly with encouragement from her human. She will make a lovely family dog and we can't wait to find her people.
Adoption Info: Rosie's adoption fee is $550 which includes her spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.
