Meet Octavia! Octavia is approximately 3-5 years old and looking for a loving home!
Octavia is a very sweet kitty. She is very affectionate and appreciates a gentle, loving touch. Once you start petting her you can see her melt and hear her purr. It just feels so good and she is so happy and she will let you know by rubbing against you purring and giving you the cutest little head boops. She's in the process of learning to be a lapcat and she is showing good progress by standing in your lap to nuzzle/boop you!
Octavia is still very kitten like in that she loves to play and will put a lot of energy into catching the wand toy. She is fun to play with. It seems like she's had a rough life and like she's making up for her lost kittenhood in her foster home.
Octavia lost the only home she knew where she lived with her sister and her human father in an RV. He ended up losing the home and others cared for her and her sister but when they couldn't anymore she was brought into the shelter. We are grateful that we were able to help her and get her on to the path of the loving home she deserves. Sadly, her sister didn't get this chance as she went missing and was not found. Let's turn sweet Octavia's life around by giving her the best home where she will be cherished and spoiled and living her best life!
Octavia is a gentle, sensitive soul who does best with people like that as well. She would do best in a quieter home without young children or dogs, but it can depend on the situation, of course, so email me and let me know your situation. Octavia needs to feel safe and secure as she's been through so much upheaval in her life. If you can be her safe harbor she will return your favor by being the most loving, affectionate, adorable, playful, fun kitty you could ever dream of!

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).
