My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fiona is a resilient cat with a quiet charm.  After a tough past, she's learning to trust again in her foster home.  While she may be shy at first, once Fiona feels safe, her loving personality shines through. She adores snuggles, tummy rubs, and bird watching out the window.

Fiona thrives in a calm, quiet environment without other pets.  She may do well with respectful children where she can feel secure.  While she has shown no behavioral issues in her foster home, she has urinated outside the litter box in a previous environment where children and other animals were present.  A peaceful, consistent home will help her feel confident and at ease.  She may stick to one room at first, but with patience, she'll explore and become your loyal companion.

Born around 1/28/21, Fiona is ready to find her forever home with someone who will give her the love and understanding she deserves.

Fiona comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $50 and includes her medical records, a food sample, and a number of goodies passed along from her previous family. To be considered to adopt Fiona, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application. Thank you!

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
