My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cheerios came to us with her kitten as strays October 31/24. Cheerios was barely a kitten having kittens and is still a petite and beautiful little girl. We estimate her birthday as November 1,2023.
She is a little shy yet, but starting to get more comfortable every day. She is curious and loves to sit on the cat tower just inside the room she is in here at the shelter and watch us all go by. You can get very close to her with your hand but she is just not quite there yet. Cheerios does run away but will pull back a bit to let you know her comfort zone. With a little time, she will most certainly come out of her shell and be a love bug. Until then, a patient and loving home is what she needs to blossom!

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
