Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Woody came to us after 3 long months at large, on his own. We were finally able to catch him and get him to safety. While on the run he proved he is a survivor and resourceful. But he also showed within hours of being captured that he truly prefers being safe and having people to love.
He is a very loving, teddy bear of a dog. He wants nothing more than to love his person. He will lay by your feet, snuggle you, sit in your lap, you name it, he wants to do it. He wants to be everyones friend.
He is a quick learner, and ready to learn new tricks. Walks GREAT on a leash, and does listen well. He just loves to lean into you, plop his head in your lap and give you gentle kisses.
He gets excited and can get jumpy and sometimes even a little mouthy so he'll need some training on that. But he's just a big, ole loveable puppy. Respectful player in dog playgroups. Seems to prefer female dogs to play with. Very playful, loves balls and toys and sticks. Learns new things quickly.
He loves nylabones. Those are great for him as he's a busy chewer being a puppy. He loves to run so an active family and lots of space to play would be best! He can be shy of new situations but opens up quite quickly. He doesn't appear to have any handling sensitivity.
Woody is a great mix of a dog that has the energy to go on a walk/hike with you, but also happy to lay next to you and chill. He is a dog that looks you directly in the eyes, and they are the type that make your heart melt.
He is incredibly smart and can figure out the hardest treat puzzle toys quickly, and even how to open his kennel if it's not locked. He's got great recall. He's a great car rider and would make a great hiking partner. Possibly a good running partner with more training.
