Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A24825 Lizard is approximately 3-year-old, 54-pound, neutered male, Pitbull Terrier. He entered the shelter as a stray and was neutered by our medical team.
Lizard is a sweetie! He wants nothing more than to cuddle and get love. He was easy to leash and pulls very little when being walked. He knows sit on command but doesn't know much other commands. He doesn't get upset by the other shelter dogs when walking by them and shows some friendly interest. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home. Lizard is waiting for a forever home and is sure to bring you lots of kisses and snuggles once home.

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
