A25083 Kairo is a 1-year-old, 56-pound, neutered male, American Pitbull Terrier. He was an owner surrender to the shelter because they stated he and the other house dog didn’t get along and the owner was having health issues and didn’t have time to work with the dog. They have only had the dog for three months and got him from the other local animal shelter.
Kairo is a very happy boy despite him ending back in the animal shelter again. He is still very puppy like in energy level. He is easy to leash and excited to get out of his kennel. He was a good boy while being walked and didn’t pull. He doesn’t seem to be reactive to the other shelter dogs, despite his previous owner stating he has a prey drive. Kairo does have some basic manners and loves squeaky toys. He also really likes to snuggle. If you are looking for a young, fun, and playful dog then he is waiting for you to adopt him.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
