My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mavis, a charming adult dog whose spirit is as youthful as a puppy`s. Her playful nature is contagious, filling the room with joy as she fetches a ball or playfully tugs at a rope. But Mavis isn`t just about fun and games. She`s also incredibly smart, quickly mastering commands and tricks, and even solving puzzle toys in record time. Her friendly demeanor makes her a favorite among shelter staff, always ready with a wagging tail to brighten anyone`s day. Mavis is more than just a shelter dog, she`s a companion ready to bring happiness and love to her forever home. Her intelligence, playfulness, and friendly nature make her the perfect addition to any family. Adopt Mavis, and let her bring a ray of sunshine into your life.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
