Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hey there, I’m Josey! I’m a one-year-old, 55-60 lb bundle of energy and enthusiasm, still figuring out how to be a grown-up dog. My previous owner passed away recently, and now PLR is helping me find a new family to entertain (I mean, love) forever.
I’m healthy, up to date on vaccines, spayed, housetrained, and crate trained. I walk pretty well on a leash... except when I get excited, which is basically *always*—so yeah, there’s some pulling. But don’t worry, I’m learning to sit and wait for my leash to go on so we can get out the door faster (who knew patience would speed things up, right?).
I’m super smart and love learning new things. If you want a dog who’s eager to work for treats, I’m your girl! But fair warning: I still have a lot of puppy energy, so don’t expect me to settle down for long—unless we’re cuddling, in which case, I’m a top-tier snuggler.
I’m a fan of walks, ball play, and brain games (sit? Nailed it in one day. Down? We're working on it). When I’m not busy being a genius, you can find me playing with my foster dog sister or chewing on toys like a champion. I’m also a pro at "leave it" when I see other dogs—unless they look like they’re ready to play, in which case, it’s game on.
Oh, and cats? Yeah, I’m not so into them. If you have one, we might need to talk.
I need an active family who loves to move and can help me be my best self. If you’re up for a goofy, fun, full-of-energy pup who can’t wait to be your new best friend (and maybe knock a few things over in the process), I’m your girl!
