If you've ever wanted your own muppet, check out Sven! He is two years old, and weighs 54 pounds. Sven's foster says that he's super smart; he's house trained and crate trained, and knows his basic commands! Sven loves people and he is fantastic with other dogs in his foster home, and doesn't mind the cat. Sven is definitely high energy and wants to play all day, and gets very excited by other dogs when he's on a walk; he'll need an adopter who can make sure he has lots of opportunities for enrichment and learns to relax when on walks. Fill out our adoption application at heartsandbonesrescue.org and our adoption team will be in touch about next steps within a few days.

Meet the Pet

The best way to meet our pups is via private meetings or at adoption events. We host these weekly at various locations around NYC.

Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption fee ranges from $275-$550 and covers the costs of vetting, boarding, transportation, and other necessary items for our dogs.

Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue with dual bases in New York City, NY and Dallas, TX. We are dedicated to ending the needless euthanasia of shelter dogs through direct lifesaving, shared learning, and community building. Our incredible network of rescue partners, fosters, volunteers, and a small but mighty staff work together to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and unite them with loving adopters ready to give them the lives they deserve.
