Mister is a 5-year-old lovable, social kitty looking for his forever home!
This friendly boy is a chatterbox who will brighten your days with his adorable meows and playful personality. He’s energetic during playtime but equally happy to nap or relax throughout the day. He enjoys a variety of toys and especially loves play-wrestling with his foster brother, Stevie. When he’s not engaged in playtime, Mister enjoys lounging high up on the cat tower or gazing out the window at birds. He’s also a great sleeper at night, making him an easy companion for any household.
Mister loves to be around people and other cats, making him an excellent addition to a home with feline companions. He is dog-selective (preferring calm, friendly dogs), and does wonderfully with children of all ages.
Mister currently lives in an apartment with his foster mom and another adult cat, and he makes a great roommate! He thrives in a moderately active home where he can get plenty of attention, pets, and the opportunity to play. Mister is great with the litterbox as long as it’s cleaned regularly and filled with clumping litter.
Mister is a happy and healthy boy. One quirky trait to keep in mind—Mister can be a little greedy with food! If you have pets who graze throughout the day, he might try to snack on their meals, so meal management will be important.

Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
