Sua is such a character, charming in both her independent and her affectionate moments. Her former owner reported that she would check in with her humans many times a day via nice leg rubs, but was also happy to stake out her favorite hangouts on her own. She also enjoyed picking her own toys out of her toybox when ready for some playtime. :)

This curious kitty felt a bit pent-up following a recent downsizing, and she may enjoy going to a new home with ample space to explore, and/or appreciate extra playtime and enrichment. In classic feline fashion, Sua prefers interactions that are on her own terms, and an overly handsy approach may be off-putting for her. She may be most comfy in a home with older or no kids. How to Adopt from Foothills Animal Shelter:
Visit the Shelter or one of our offsite adoption partner locations to find a pet. Once you’ve decided on an animal, you should check with staff to see the status and history of the animal. At this time, you can fill out an adoption application and visit with the animal.

We recommend you bring all family members to the Shelter to meet with the animal before you consider adopting. If you are interested in adopting a dog, bring any household dogs to the Shelter to determine if it is a good match. Also, if you rent your home, please bring the pet policy in your lease or rental agreement and contact information for your landlord.

Once your application is reviewed, you can pay the adoption fees and take your new pet home. It may take some time for your new pet to adjust to its new environment. If you have questions or concerns after adopting, please contact us at 303-278-7575.

Foothills Animal Shelter, formerly known as Table Mountain Animal Center, is an open-admissions facility (never turning away an animal) and one of the largest animal shelters in the metro Denver area – taking in 9,000 animals each year.
