Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Laverne is a stunning long-haired torbie (tortiseshell-tabby) with a floof of a tail. We don't know much about her history, as she was rescued from a downstate kill shelter, but she settled quite nicely into foster life.
She's a bit shy at first, but she quickly warms up to people. She absolutely loves to be pet, and she's happy to be groomed. As a longer-haired cat, she does need to be brushed daily, and she enjoys the attention at her foster home.
She came to us underweight but enjoys all the food and treats her foster mom gives her. We feel certain that she will fill out and be an absolute beauty. Laverne comes running up every time she see someone who may give her attention and does not have any of the usual "torti-tude" that you see with many torties.
She's quite the laid back cat and seems to get along with most other cats, She loves to explore and find a cozy hiding place - the cat condo is one of her favorite hangouts, though she comes bounding down when she sees her people.
As a kitten, she needs to go to a home with another young cat or be adopted as part of a pair. She has been living with another available Fur Keeps foster Maxine and gets along well with her but is not bonded to her.
Laverne is up to date with routine shots, litter box trained, altered and micro chipped.
