Meet Margarita! Margarita is a beautiful two-year-old Poodle mix, available for adoption through Chi Town Rescue. She was found running around the street with another dog, both very dirty and matted. They were lucky they weren't hit by a car, and even luckier that a Chi Town volunteer found them! The owners were located and told us that we could have the dogs, as they had been keeping them in the backyard for a family member who never returned to claim them. Despite the poor condition they were in, both dogs are full of love. Margarita is a bit more shy than her buddy Chile, but she warms up relatively quick if you go slow. Soon, she will be chilling on your lap, soaking up love and pets. We can't imagine how long it must have been since Margarita even felt a pet, with how terribly thick the matts were in her fur, and she's making up for lost time. Margarita is social with people and other dogs. She has a moderate energy level but is more than happy to sit next to you and relax. Considering she came from a situation where she was abandoned in a backyard for quite awhile, Margarita will need help working on her potty and leash training in her forever home. If you have a little patience and a lot of love, Margarita may just be the one for you! Email chitownrescue@gmail.com for more information/meet and greet with Margarita! Margarita's adoption fee includes spay surgery, vaccinations up to date including Rabies, and microchip.
