Since we are 100% foster-based rescue, only approved applications will be reviewed and/or contacted. We do not allow shipping & do not transport. You must live within 350 miles from Maryville, IL & able to drive there for a meet & greet.
Paris was surrendered to rescue because the family who purchased her realized they simply weren't home enough to spend time with her or train her. You see, Paris has this trait that so many Cavaliers have: a deep attachment to their humans. Paris enjoys the other dogs, she enjoys being with other Cavaliers, but she is truly most happy when she is with her humans. She also likes the tiny humans, particularly if they are gentle & easy with her. We will be seeking a home where the human is home the majority of the time. Bonus would be if there is another compatible dog for when the humans can't be home.
Paris doesn't enjoy chaos or sudden movement. She likes easy-going relaxing surroundings. She is great for cuddling up & hanging out. She is not leash trained, & she is not ready to start training just yet. She has done fabulous with housetraining, practically perfect. So, for that reason, we will require a secure fenced yard. We want Paris to continue her outdoor potty practices in an environment where she feels safe & is safe.
At night Paris enjoys sleeping in the big bed with her humans. She is a perfect sleeper all night long & enjoys being next to her human. During the day Paris lounges around the house & quietly observes her family members, she is low maintenance & low activity. She would like to send her regrets to all invitations to go hiking, biking, or swimming. She will be okay left in a doggie-proofed area of the home if her humans have to leave for a short time.
