Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mitzy, the sweetest little Yorkie you’ve ever met! 🐾
Mitzy is an 11lb senior lady born on 8/9/12. She recently came to us after her owner passed away, and sadly, the family didn’t want her. They were about to take her to animal control, but thankfully, her longtime groomer stepped in to save her. After a wellness checkup, worming, and vaccines, Mitzy is now ready to find her forever home.
This adorable, spayed girl is a total lap dog who loves being close to her people. She’s super friendly and easygoing, even with other dogs. She’s used to being pampered and still has that playful Yorkie spirit — her little nub tail wags like crazy when she’s happy! Although she isn’t fully house-trained yet and isn’t crate-trained, she’s already adjusting to her new environment and showing us her sweet, trusting nature.
Mitzy is a senior, but she’s in great health! She does have some dental wear, but regular brushing should keep it in check. Her eyes show some cloudiness, but she’s still very active and loves to explore her surroundings. She’s just a little lovebug who craves attention and affection.
Her foster says she’s an absolute gem, except for one thing—she’s not a fan of the hair dryer (who can blame her?). 😄 We know Mitzy still has so much love to give, and we’re looking for someone who can offer her a peaceful and loving home for her golden years.
If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who will brighten your days, Mitzy is the one for you! ❤️

Our humble mission is to fight for the underdogs! We want to make a meaningful impact one animal at a time through dog rescue. At Simple Girl Doggie Haven, our focus is on dogs that may have physical, medical, or other special needs. Disabilities range from blindness, deafness, poor confidence, aggression, and other forms of disability. We are dedicated to giving these animals the best chance of survival by providing lifesaving medical treatment or training. Our goal in many cases is teaching them to trust, so they can experience what it feels to know love and compassion and, ultimately, to find their furever homes. Won't you help us? Please consider donating, fostering, or adopting. You, too, can make a difference in one doggie's life!
