Meet Mama Macadamia!

Mama Macadamia is a loving and attentive mama who has done an excellent job caring for her beautiful puppies. ( they have been adopted) She’s incredibly affectionate and loves having people around, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys spending time with their furry friend.

Mama Macadamia is content during car rides and has a special love for breakfast—especially when eggs are on the menu! She’s made progress with potty training and is learning more every day. While she doesn’t enjoy being crated, she’s proven to be non-destructive when she was left out with her puppies or crated alongside them.

Additional adoption info

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.

We strive to set a standard of excellence and leadership in animal care, humane education, and progressive animal welfare programs. Our staff and volunteers are passionate about caring for the animals in our shelter and placing them in good homes.
